National Skill Training Institute (W) , Bengaluru, under Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India is conducting Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) / ITI courses under the aegis of NCVT in the following trades :

Programme structure : The duration of craftsman training is one year for all Non-Engineering trades other than *Architectural Draughtsman is Engineering trade which is of 2 years duration.
Combination of Subjects : The following subjects are covered
- Trade Technology
- Trade Practical
- Emploability Skills
Start of session : 1st August of every year.
Eligibility for Admission : 8th standard for Dress Making and for remaining trades 10th standard. Merit will be as per the marks scored in Basic qualification. Reservations as per Central Government Reservation Policy
Age limit : Minimum 14 years, No upper age limit
Admission & Award of Certificate : Candidates can enroll for the above programmes. A candidate has to secure 33 % in Trade Theory, 33% in employability skills, and 60% in Trade Practical marks in and also have a minimum of 80 % attendance only the candidates will be allowed to appear for the final examination conducted by NCVT, New Delhi in June/July every year. On passing the prescribed exam, trainees will be awarded the National Trade Certificate from NCVET.

Hostel : Hostel facilities are available for trainees on payment of Rs. 100/- per month as Hostel registration Rs. 50/- Mess charges extra.
Games : Playground is available for Games
Working Hours : From 09.00 am to 5.30 pm with half hour lunch break on all working days(Monday to Friday).
Attendance : Minimum 80% attendance is required to appear in the Final Trade Test to be held at the end of the course.
